Why Buy From an Authorized Invertek Distributor
Buying a variable frequency drive is only the start of the relationship. Piedmont Technical Sales is an authorized Invertek Drives distributor, which means every Optidrive VFD we sell is genuine, new, current-production stock, backed by application support and the full Invertek manufacturer warranty, all coordinated through a single point of contact. Here's what that authorization actually buys you beyond the box.
What does application and post-sale support actually look like?
The support doesn't end when the drive ships. When a technician runs into something past general product knowledge in the field, like a stubborn autotune, an application edge case, or a fault that won't clear, we don't leave you to work it out from the manual alone. Because we work directly with Invertek, we can bring an Invertek applications specialist onto the line: an engineer who knows that specific drive family in depth. On a single call we can conference in the manufacturer's specialist and walk the end user through the problem in real time, from parameter setup and commissioning to diagnosing what's happening on the motor.
That's the part an unauthorized seller structurally can't offer. Moving boxes out of a warehouse with no manufacturer relationship means the best available help is a return label. We support what we sell across the ODE-3 E3 economy drives, ODP-2 performance drives, and ODV-3 Eco drives we carry: before the sale, during commissioning, and after it's running.
How do I know I'm getting a genuine, new drive?
Industrial drives attract gray-market and unauthorized sellers, and a drive bought through one of those channels can be a real gamble. It may be used, refurbished, pulled from a decommissioned panel, or in some cases counterfeit, and it typically arrives with no traceable date of manufacture, no warranty standing, and no support path if something goes wrong.
Everything we sell is new, current-production product sourced through Invertek's authorized channel, with a rating label and date code you can verify. If a drive can't be traced back to that authorized channel, there's no reliable way to confirm it's new, correctly rated for your application, or eligible for warranty coverage. Buying authorized removes that uncertainty entirely.
What warranty coverage comes with the drive?
Every eligible Invertek product carries up to a 3-year manufacturer warranty: specifically, 2.5 years from the date of invoice, up to a maximum of 3 years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first. Because we're an authorized distributor, warranty service is coordinated directly through us rather than something you chase back to the factory on your own: one point of contact from the first call to the final repair. Full details, including what's covered and how to start a claim, are on our Invertek Drives warranty page.
