Invertek Drives Warranty
As an authorized Invertek distributor, Piedmont Technical Sales backs every Invertek variable frequency drive (VFD) we sell with the full Invertek manufacturer warranty. Coverage runs up to three years, and warranty service is coordinated directly through us. You have a single point of contact from the first call to the final repair.
Warranty Period
Every eligible Invertek product (manufactured on or after 1 June 2022) is covered for 2.5 years from the date of invoice, up to a maximum of 3 years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first.
In practice, most customers buying current stock receive close to the full 2.5 years of coverage from their purchase date. The coverage dates are determined as follows:
- Date of manufacture : shown on the product's rating label, or on the carton label via the date code and serial number.
- Date of invoice : available on request through a serial number check.
What's Covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and manufacture under normal use, provided the drive has been installed, wired, and applied in accordance with the product's user guide. If a covered defect is confirmed, the product is repaired or replaced under the warranty terms.
What's Not Covered
The warranty does not apply where a product has been damaged, altered, or used outside its intended conditions. Specifically, coverage is void if:
- the product has been altered electrically, misused, accidentally damaged, or repaired or disassembled by anyone other than Invertek Drives or an Authorized Service Center (ASC);
- the product was improperly wired, installed, connected, or applied outside the guidance in the product manual;
- routine maintenance was not performed to an acceptable industry standard;
- the product was improperly stored;
- the goods were damaged in transit due to carrier neglect or mishandling, or were returned poorly packaged and damaged on the way in.
In addition, the warranty does not cover labor costs or any expense involved in dismantling and reassembling installed equipment.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Warranty service for products purchased from Piedmont Technical Sales is handled through us as your authorized distributor. Please do not ship any product back before a Return Authorization Number (RAN) has been issued — unauthorized or poorly packaged returns are not covered.
- Start with a technical consultation. Contact us at 704-519-4661 or orders@Invertek.Store so we can troubleshoot the issue and determine whether it may be a warrantable condition.
- Service Request Form (SRF). If the issue looks warrantable, we complete and submit a Service Request Form to Invertek Drives USA LLC on your behalf.
- Return Authorization. Invertek reviews the request. If the product is determined to be covered, a Return Authorization Number (RAN) is issued along with shipping instructions.
- Ship for service. The product is sent, well packaged and with the RAN referenced, to the nearest Authorized Service Center or to Invertek's U.S. headquarters in Illinois.
